Object pronouns are one of the most important (and confusing) topics in Spanish. Mastering them will make your Spanish sound much more natural and fluent.

When to Use Each One
Direct Object Pronouns
They replace the direct object (the thing that receives the action).
Examples:
- Veo la película → La veo.
- Compré los libros → Los compré.
- ¿Conoces a María? → ¿La conoces?
Indirect Object Pronouns
They replace the indirect object (who receives the benefit or action).
Examples:
- Doy un regalo a mi madre → Le doy un regalo.
- Envié un mensaje a mis amigos → Les envié un mensaje.
- ¿Puedes explicar a Juan el problema? → ¿Puedes explicarle el problema?
Important Rules
- Placement: Usually before the conjugated verb.
- Te llamo mañana.
- Les escribí un email.
- With infinitives or gerunds: Can go before or attached at the end.
- Quiero llamarte / Te quiero llamar.
- Double pronouns: Indirect + Direct (always in that order)
- Se lo doy. (I give it to him/her/them)
- Te la compro. (I buy it for you)

Wrong: Yo gusto el café.
Correct: Me gusta el café.
Wrong: Le veo todos los días. (if seeing a person)
